Our Story

Woven in Heritage

From the ancient looms of Kashmir to your wardrobe — celebrating centuries of handloom tradition.

Our Philosophy

The Qatha Ethos

At Qatha, we celebrate the Indian woman in all her glory — rooted yet unbound, carrying her heritage with grace, glamour, and ease. Each Qatha saree is a story, not just a garment — woven by skilled artisans and inspired by generations of women.

Our Craft

Handcrafted in India

Our journey weaves through India’s vibrant heartlands — from the ancient looms of Bengal and Benaras, to the sun-kissed sands of Bagru, Sangner & Bhuj, and the bustling lanes of Madras — where every artisan’s touch breathes life into threads and traditions.

We work with craftspeople whose skill is their inheritance, whose hands are blessed with the rhythm of generations. Together, we create sarees that are artisanal, pure, and kind to the skin — made from the softest natural fibers, thoughtfully designed for the Indian climate.

Your Journey

Weaving Your Story

A Qatha saree is meant to be lived in and loved — as effortless in your everyday moments as it is in your grandest celebrations. Each drape becomes an elegant companion on your journey, infusing your story with the beauty of heritage and the spirit of womanhood.

We invite you to embrace the joy of wearing a piece of our shared legacy — one that celebrates you and your story.

“A saree holds a special place in every woman’s heart.”

To me, it feels like a warm embrace from the past — a shelter cradling childhood memories of hiding behind ma’s pallu, a soft haven in my grandma’s well-worn pleats as she spun us dreamy bedtime tales, and the spark in my little eyes as I wished to look as graceful as maa in her splendid six yards.

As I grew and life unfolded, the saree transformed — from nostalgia into a canvas for crafting my own stories — an heirloom made modern, made mine. They became a reminder of my roots as I move forward — bold, grounded, and free.

Vatsla is a Fashion Design graduate from Pearl Academy (Nottingham Trent University). Her journey began as a designer with renowned fashion houses and brands across India, eventually evolving through roles in branding, marketing, and content, where she discovered her love for storytelling through textiles.

With Qatha, she brings together her design sensibility and cultural roots — curating sarees that blend heritage, comfort, and quiet luxury.
